Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital is one of ten sentinel clinics in Wildlife Health Australia's National Wildlife Disease Surveillance Program. Through this program we contribute to national knowledge of notifiable and other contagious diseases affecting Australian wildlife. This not only helps us to protect Australian wildlife but also Australia's tourism, agriculture, farming and health sectors.
Through this program we are able to share the latest updates and developments in relation to diseases like H5 Avian Influenza (H5 Bird Flu).
Below are downloadable links to resources and advice for people who encounter sick or dead wildlife, advice for people working with wildlife in the field and advice for veterinarians and other animal health professionals.
