Saskia Horstmann
Veterinary Nurse
Saskia started working as a vet nurse at Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital in August 2024 following a year as a volunteer. Saskia has been working with wildlife since graduating high school, working with Friends of the Koala, Northern Rivers Wildlife hospital and Australian Seabird and Turtle Rescue. Saskia is also a vet nurse at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. She enjoys working with a variety of species and has a soft spot for the often unloved species such as snakes. Saskia believes every single animal we treat is important and makes an impact to stop extinction of species.
“I am thankful for everyone that is a part of making this happen from the staff to our volunteers to carers.”
