Marie Robert

Veterinary Nurse

Originally from France, Marie has been part of the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital team since 2021, where she provides emergency care, surgical support, and critical treatment to some of Australia’s most vulnerable species - from koalas and macropods to birds and reptiles. She also works at the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital in Queensland.

With a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Zoology, Marie’s background combines hands-on clinical experience with a strong scientific foundation. Her honours research explored bird bioacoustics and cultural evolution, and she has conducted field studies across diverse Australian habitats.

Passionate about sharing her love for the natural world beyond the clinic, Marie also spends her free time painting Australian wildlife - a creative passion that deepens her connection to the animals she cares for with love, compassion, and dedication.
